The upcoming Honor Magic6 Ultimate and Honor Magic6 RSR Porsche Design smartphones have appeared in a new set of leaked renders ahead of their official unveiling scheduled for Monday. The latest images highlight the design of both premium devices, showing them in Ink Rock Black and Sky Purple color options.
Both phones appear to share a similar design language, featuring curved edges, vegan leather backs, and a large circular camera module on the rear. The prominent camera island houses three sensors, emphasizing Honor’s focus on flagship-level photography.
One of the key highlights of the upcoming devices is their advanced camera system. Both models are expected to include a 1-inch type 50MP OmniVision OV50K main camera with a variable aperture ranging from f/1.4 to f/2.0, allowing improved control over light intake and depth of field. The sensor is also claimed to deliver exceptional dynamic range, making it one of the most powerful camera setups in the smartphone market.
New Dual-Layer OLED Display Technology
Honor has also teased the display technology that will be used in the Magic6 Ultimate and Magic6 RSR models. The phones are expected to feature a BOE K2 panel with a dual-layer OLED design, which would be a first in the smartphone industry.
According to Honor, this dual-stack OLED technology offers several advantages compared to traditional OLED displays:
- Up to 6× longer lifespan
- Around 40% better energy efficiency
- Higher peak brightness
- Reduced risk of screen burn-in
The display itself is expected to measure 6.8 inches and feature 1280 × 2800 resolution with an LTPO panel supporting a 1Hz to 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. Honor also highlights 4,320Hz PWM dimming, which helps reduce eye strain during low-brightness usage.
With these upgrades in both camera and display technology, the Magic6 Ultimate and the Magic6 RSR Porsche Design are shaping up to be two of the most advanced flagship smartphones of the year.
