Whether you’re a student or aiming to establish a home office, a keyboard proves to be a practical necessity. Considering wireless keyboards is a sensible choice, given their portability and space-saving attributes.
Logitech has recently broadened its range of products with the introduction of the Pebble 2 Combo. This combo includes the Pebble Keys 2 K380S keyboard and the Pebble Mouse 2 M350S. Priced at Rs 4,495, this wireless keyboard-mouse duo is offered in Blue, Graphite, Rose, Sand, and White color variants. After using the Pebble 2 Combo for a few days, here are our initial impressions.
Design
The Logitech Pebble 2 Combo includes a membrane keyboard and a mouse that are lightweight and easily portable. This wireless keyboard-mouse combination boasts an attractive and ergonomic design, crafted from recycled plastic and featuring a rounded aesthetic.
The Logitech Pebble Keys 2 K380S keyboard is conveniently compact, facilitating easy handling and portability in one’s bag, and it can effortlessly fit into limited desk spaces. Boasting a sleek design and membrane keys, the keyboard features 10 functional keys and comes equipped with a three-year battery.
The Pebble Mouse 2 M350S showcases a stylish and minimalistic design. It provides a comfortable grip in the user’s hand and ensures easy usability. Positioned at the back, the mouse features two switches – one for toggling it on or off, and the other for facilitating connection to multiple devices through specific presses. Additionally, the mouse comes with a two-year battery life.
Set-up and performance
Setting up the wireless keyboard and mouse combo with your Mac or Windows device is a straightforward process. Just activate Bluetooth on your device, ensure the keyboard and mouse are powered on and have two AAA batteries installed. The Pebble 2 Combo is compatible with Windows, macOS, iPadOS, Chrome OS, and Android, providing versatile connectivity options for pairing with PCs, laptops, tablets, and smartphones alike.
The Pebble 2 Combo membrane keyboard offers a nearly silent typing experience, with keys that allow the hand to glide smoothly. Featuring 10 functional keys and Silent Touch Technology to minimize click noise, the keyboard also incorporates auto-sleep and power-saving modes. The mouse, characterized by its compact, round, and sleek design, ensures easy handling and usage. The keyboard-mouse combo supports Bluetooth pairing across three devices. While the typing experience closely resembles that of a regular membrane keyboard, the absence of a kickstand could present challenges for certain users.
What we think
While the wireless mouse and keyboard combo by Pebble boasts the aesthetics and features typically sought in a budget-friendly keyboard, it’s important to note that membrane keyboards generally exhibit less long-term durability compared to mechanical ones. The Logitech Pebble 2 Combo presents a viable option for those seeking an affordable wireless keyboard-mouse combination. In our initial testing, we found the performance to be quite satisfactory. Stay tuned for our comprehensive review to determine if the Combo maintains its performance over prolonged use.
